Jesse loves to draw & do colouring. This is Jesse's recent drawing of mummy. Initially there were no hair on mummy. When mummy asked her where's the hair? Jesse quickly added the final touches :)

As Samuel was so excited to play duet piano with daddy, he asked daddy to teach him another simple song.

After learning it, he quickly request mummy to take a video of it again. :)

He was abit shy and sang softly but overall, he did well :)

Dinner with the Family

Since daddy's leg is injured, we seldom go out for dinner. We finally had a simple family dinner yesterday. Just the four of us, daddy, mummy, Samuel & Jesse.

Daddy's Parents Came Over

While daddy's leg was plastered, daddy's parents came over to help out. They came over to help send Samuel and Jesse to school and home, cook for us and look after us.

We really feel so blessed having them over when we needed help most.

Daddy's Leg is Broken

These 2 weeks has been challenging. Daddy had an accident and his leg has been plastered. The day daddy came home with a plastered leg,

Jesse said "Mummy, i am so sad. Daddy's leg is broken.. " she burst into tears and cried.

Daddy was so touched.

Jesse's 1st Father's Day Gift

1st June 2010, Jesse's school teacher gave daddy this when he sent Jesse to school. It is Jesse's 1st Father's Day present to daddy.

We were doing our grocery shopping and suddenly the song "Nobody Nobody" by Wondergirls was playing in the background. Suddenly, Jesse started to dance to the song and we quickly captured her on video.

Apparently, she has been learning how to dance the Nobody Nobody dance in school.

Mother's Day 2010

This year's Mother's Day, Samuel and Jesse both made something for mummy. Samuel made a card and a flower for mummy, while Jesse made a pot of flowers for mummy.

These simple gifts of love melts mummy's heart.

We're Back

It has been awhile since we've posted anything on our blog. I guess its the evolution of blogs whereby our postings are on Facebook rather than on our blog.

Anyway, we're back & will try to blog as often as we can.

Jesse Performing in the Expression Music Concert

This video is the final outcome of her many practices a her Expression Music School. Jesse performed these songs at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre infront of thousands of audience.

This performance was also featured in the local television station (RTB), broadcasted nationwide.

Daddy and mummy are so proud of you, Jesse.

Our Princess Jesse

Today, we brought Jesse to her music school for her photo session. The girls are requested to dress up like a princess.

Before we left home, Jesse refused to wear a dress. She insisted to wear her yellow, round neck, T-shirt which comes with the wordings "If i can reach it, its mine" :)

When we arrived at her music school, there were lots of little girls fully dressed and some even equiped with fairy wings and tiaras. When i was there, i quickly told Jesse to look at all her friends who were all so beautifully dressed like a princess. I quickly changed her and she was ok in the end.

During our previous school holidays, The Jerudong Park Playground has 2 performers from Australia, The Circus Firemen (Angus & Matilda).

Samuel and Jesse loves the performance so much that we brought them to watch it a few times.

Jesse's Boyfriend?

Recently, Jesse has been telling us that a little boy in her class, Brandon, tells her that she is his girlfriend.

Daddy is keen to find out who this little boy and took a photo of both Jesse & Brandon when they were in school. :)

Samuel Singing "I've got Peace Love Joy like a river"

Both Samuel and Jesse has been listening to songs from Veggie Tales every morning on their way to school. They have been singing these songs in the car.

Today, we let Samuel sing with our karaoke system and we noticed how much he enjoyed singing :)

Samuel's Day Out With Friends

Today is Samuel's Day Out, for the first time, with his friends (without us). He went to The Empire Hotel Country Club for bowling and then out with his friends for dinner in The Mall.

We start to feel that he is indeed no longer our baby boy. He has his friends and will be going out with friends (without us). :)

Samuel has been learning piano since October 2009 (about 5 months ago). Since then, we found out that he has very strong passion for music. He is such a good boy that he takes his own initiative to practice and play the piano everyday since he started his piano lessons.

Taekwondo Class

Every Monday & Friday evenings, Samuel has his Taekwondo classes. While Samuel attends his Taekwondo classes, Jesse attends her English classes.

It has almost been 6 months since Samuel started attending Taekwondo classes. We've seen some improvements in his gross motor skills. Its a form or exercise that will train him to be tougher.

It has been 2 consecutive Thursday evenings that mummy is on duty to patrol around the playground. While mummy is on duty, daddy & our babies are given complimentary tickets to all rides.

Daddy brought Samuel & Jesse to the playground last Thursday, looking after our little ones when mummy goes to work.

Mummy went shopping with our little ones & bought an Origami set. Samuel is very impressed with creative crafts and has been asking mummy to immediately make something for both Samuel & Jesse.

Samuel Loosing His 1st Tooth

Earlier today Samuel came to me, telling me that his tooth pain & that its going to be broken. Initially, i thought it was his upper front tooth but he told me it was his lower front tooth.

During his taekwondo class today, he finally came to daddy telling him that his tooth is broken already. Daddy took a photo of his tooth and his mouth.

During our CNY reunion dinner, daddy's sister, auntie Yee Ven and her 2 boys played the piano and their violins. While we watched, Jesse was very interested to also play the violin.

1st Day of CNY in KL

On the 1st day of CNY, as it has been for many years, daddy always insist that we follow the chinese tradition for our children to serve tea to daddy and mummy. This year, it is a abit different. We're in KL with Samuel and Jesse's grandpa and grandma. As daddy and mummy serves tea to grandpa and grandma, Samuel and Jesse observes and waited for their turn to serve tea to the elders. :)

Sick Before CNY

Chinese New Year is a time for families to get together, joy & laughter. This year, we are back in KL with our family after all these years being away.

2 days before CNY, Samuel came down with a fever. We've been praying & giving him medicine every 4 hours, hoping he will feel better.

Everytime we travel we bring along Samuel & Jesse's doodle board. Its to keep them occupied when on the flight. Jesse has been writing (scribbling) since she was 1½ years old.

We're Flying Home

Jesse Turns 3

Yes, Jesse turned 3 on 11th January. Time flies so quickly that my baby girl is now 3. We had a Dora Themed Birthday party for her at home & invited some of her friends over. As i'm using daddy's phone to blog, i only have a photo of her Dora Birthday Cake.

Will be posting more photos of Jesse's Birthday later.

A Very Busy Start

Since the beginning of this new year, it has been really busy for both daddy & mummy. So many new routines to get adapted to and new work requirements for daddy has been keeping daddy & mummy very occupied & tired.

First new routine that we're still trying to get used to is sending both Samuel & Jesse to school. Yes, Jesse started schooling already. It was just like yesterday when she was just our little baby. And now, she's already in school. Dropping her off in school is like leaving a piece of our heart in school all over again.

Since Samuel graduated from his Montesorri School last year, he is now attending a new school. Chung Hwa Middle School. With both Samuel & Jesse in 2 different schools, sending & picking them up friom school is a real challenge for both daddy & mummy.

Anyway, a new year, a new beginning of a different phase of life.
