Daddy's Parents Came Over

While daddy's leg was plastered, daddy's parents came over to help out. They came over to help send Samuel and Jesse to school and home, cook for us and look after us.

We really feel so blessed having them over when we needed help most.

3 Down

It looks like Samuel's virus has spread to daddy and Jesse. On Thursday, daddy started to feel nauseas but his condition is under control. He is still on medication. Jesse started to vomit and has fever since yesterday. She is still having fever this morning.

Samuel is still not fully recovered yet. He still vomitted yesterday evening after his dinner. He was much better since Thursday, but he was only taking porridge until yesterday dinner. We gave him rice and I guess he still couldn't digest properly. Not long after his dinner, he threw up.

I hope everyone can get well soon, we are leaving Brunei today for a week holiday back to KL.

Busy Daddy

Daddy has been very busy lately. Most of the time coming home late around 10.30pm sometimes 11.00pm from work and church.

Eventhough daddy has not been at home much to spend time with mummy, Samuel and Jesse, daddy wants them to know that daddy misses them so much.

Mummy, sorry daddy has not been spending enough time at home. Will definitely spend more time with you and our "babies" over the weekend.

Daddy's gifts

Mont Blanc Wallet

Mummy brought daddy out to choose a gift at The Mall before Valentines day and daddy chose a Mont Blanc wallet. This was initially what daddy thought mummy would have gotten him. Daddy was so wrong. When daddy bought many many gifts for mummy to surprise her, daddy was caught by surprise when mummy actually bought something that daddy could never imagine.

Mummy gave daddy a medium sized green glossy wrapped box that was actually quite heavy. Daddy was very curious what it was and daddy opened it immediately. Tearing off the wrapper, daddy was wondering what could it be.

Its a Breitling Chrono Colt Watch
Daddy is so happy mummy surprises him even more than the way daddy surprised her.

Valentine's Dinner

We went to The Empire Hotel & Country Club for our Valentine's Day Dinner, just the 2 of us. Before we had our dinner, we took some pictures. The tables at the Atrium Restaurant were nicely decorated with confetti and petals of roses.

They didn't have a special menu for this special day. It was a Valentine's Day buffet. The only difference was lots of seafood and the special dishes they had was the desserts. Most of the desserts are heart shaped, but we did not try most of them as we had alot of main dishes. We tried almost every dishes. We had oyster, muscles, beef, chicken, fish, prawns, different types of rice, sushi, udon, soup, lasagna and many more. I helped myself with two rounds of seafood. I took 7 oysters, it was yummy! Daddy likes the udon the best. The chessecake was nice as well but i didn't dare to take another slice. We were extremely full after the dinner.

The dinner came with a rose and a gift (facial products) for every couple.

Chinese Tradition (CNY 2009)

Every year since Samuel was small, daddy has been practising our Chinese tradition to make the little ones serve tea to both daddy and mummy first thing in the morning on the first day of Chinese New Year.

Daddy feels that passing on the Chinese tradition is important and this was how daddy was brought up too. :)

Happy Chinese New Year!

A Day to Celebrate ?

Today is Jesse's 2nd Birthday! Happy Birthday my dear Jesse!

We will be celebrating her birthday at McDonald. In less than 4 hours, the little children will be there to celebrate her birthday and she is down with FEVER.

She had fever since yesterday evening at 8pm. The whole night I have been monitoring her and fed her medicine. This morning she is still having fever.

Daddy was down with fever as well since Thursday. He has recovered from fever but his whole body is still aching.

I pray Samuel will not fall sick and both Jesse and daddy will be strong, especially for that few hours in McDonald. We want to have fun in McD to celebrate her 2nd Birthday.

Daddy's GPS (Garmin GPSmap 60CSx)

Early this month, before we went to Kota Kinabalu, daddy bought a new toy, a Global Positioning System (GPS). Daddy drove to KK with a sketched direction to KK and with lots of help from the GPS.

The GPS daddy bought is Garmin GPSmap 60 CSx. It is not the common looking GPS that looks like a DVD LCD screen but it looks so much like a walkie talkie. The main difference between this GPS and of those which are placed in the car is the looks and its functionalities.

It is absolutely mobile (can be carried around), waterproof and extra strong reception. It is made to be this way to allow daddy to bring it around whether we're in a car, walking in an unfamiliar city (holidaying), trekking up Mount Kinabalu (We didn't do this though. Not easy with 2 little ones. hehe) or even swimming in the beach or swimming pool.

It is quite amazing how daddy can be a tourist guide and a local expert of a place where daddy never even been before. In this case, KK. hehe.

When we checked into Tunes Hotel in 1Borneo. Daddy was checking the GPS for "Point of Interests" and found "Seasonal Durian Stalls". When we went there, it was literally small little stalls selling durians by the roadside. Amazing how this GPS works. Sometimes daddy feels that with technology like this, it feels like someone up there is always watching us. hehe.

Without this GPS, daddy wouldn't have known how to drive and bring the family to all the nice places in KK.

Don't Hit My Daddy!

Yesterday evening, we went to a friend's house for an early Christmas party. There were lots of people and lots of children from St Andrew's Church's Sunday School Carollers (Kids Of Our Lord, KOOL). After singing Christmas Carols, the children ran up and down and everywhere of the house playing.

They were playing "hit the monster" and chose daddy as the monster. When the children started to hit daddy with their toys, daddy heard a very loud and bold voice "Don't Hit My Daddy!"

It was Samuel. He didn't say it once or twice. He said it a few times loudly. (Something he wouldn't do cause he is usually very shy) He was very protective of daddy.

Daddy melted and gave him a hug.

Daddy (Pain in the Neck)

Because of this daddy was in pain. Before he tried to re-adjust the pool, he has complaint that his neck and shoulder were in pain. Right after doing this, daddy had difficulties moving his neck at all.

Daddy went to Jag therapy on a Saturday afternoon while I dropped Samuel to his music class before I headed with Jesse to her Kindermusik class. Jag said that if he left his condition for the next 2-3days, he would have bed rested for 2 weeks. His condition was really bad. He has seriously torn his neck muscles. It was caused by a great impact of pulling. Jag thought that he had a car accident recently that could have cause this great impact.

He was much better after his therapy but in the evening, his pain came back. He had difficulties in moving and sleeping at night (even after taking pain killers). His pain was unbearable.

The next morning, before we went to church, we went to Jag therapy again for his 2nd treatment. He feels better and he immediately he could move his head again. Jag asked him to go back again the next day as he needs to teach him to do some exercises and for 3rd treatment.

Dinner for Thoo

Most of the time, when we go out for dinner, it will be a family dinner with Samuel and Jesse. Today, daddy dated mummy and brought mummy out for dinner.

11 years ago, 27th October 1997, daddy started dating mummy while they were in perth, university sweethearts. 11 years later, daddy wanted mummy to remember the first time we started.

Daddy pre-ordered some orange roses this morning and delivered it to mummy's office. Eventhough mummy was in a meeting, daddy have the flowers placed in mummy's office to surprise her.

In the evening when mummy came home, daddy already made reservations for dinner. We went to Charcoal BBQ and Grill. Daddy has already decided and pre-ordered our meals so when we arrived, dinner could be immediately served.

Osim uJog?

Another Osim exercise machine for the family? hehe

This brings back something that happened about a month ago when daddy brought the family out shopping in one of the shopping malls in Brunei.

While we were shopping, daddy brought our indonesian maid to the car (in the basement parking) to go get something. While daddy was locking the car in the carpark, daddy asked the maid to go look for mummy and the babies first.

When daddy went back into the shopping mall, daddy was shocked looking at our maid running so so fast.... but the funny thing was... she was not going anywhere despite running extremely fast... (hmm... how can daddy describe this better)

Daddy saw the largest treadmill being used... hehe

The maid was running on the escalator that is moving on the opposite direction... (innocently).. and daddy was shocked.... not just daddy... but the workers and cashier was shocked too.... daddy saw the workers in the mall literally "drop jaw" wondering what our maid was doing....

When daddy saw this... daddy asked:

Daddy : What are you doing?? (in Malay)
Maid : Oh Sir, i am going to look for Ma'am (running faster and faster on the escalator, not going anywhere)
Daddy : Come down now, you are running on the wrong direction (Acting serious but actually laughing madly inside)
Maid : Ok Sir (running even faster, with no expression on the face... whatsoever)
Daddy : o_O
*Everyone at the mall was staring at the maid*

Treadmill? Escalator? Osim uJog... ? hehe
