Sunday School

Story about Palm Sunday
Easter, Empty Tomb of Jesus

Since I was 2nd trimester pregnant with Jesse, Samuel stopped his Sunday School. It has been about 1.5 years since Samuel last attended Sunday School. It was actually very stressful to both of us when we send him to Sunday School as he keeps crying. We do not understand the reason why he cries because he doesn't cry in school.

Today, we decided to bring him to Sunday school after the long break. He was ok when we were there with him although he was alittle afraid. When we decided to leave, he cried. He cried real loud and shouted for mummy. At that point of time, mummy's heart really in pain. We stand outside the class for awhile and later we peep at him and he started to join other students.

When we were about to leave, we saw one of our friends going to his class and we requested her to watch over him. We then left for breakfast.

We came back later, about 20m before the class ends, and he looked pretty alright. But once he saw us, he started to cling on to us again.

We hope that he will start to enjoy his Sunday school.

Kindermusik

Jesse's collection of Kindermusik Village At Home Materials.

This is Jesse's latest collection. She started her first Kindermusik Our Time with the Theme Away We Go yesterday. Its Jesse's first "Our Time" Kindermusik class as she used to attend the baby classes in her previous 4 semesters.

With Jesse was 3 other little ones. Daddy was quite worried that Jesse could not fit into the class as she was the youngest (Our Time is meant for 18mths to 3 years old, Jesse is 14.5mths). Daddy was very glad that Jesse fitted in just nice. Eventhough she has been walking around throughout the class, Jesse showed her interest in throughout.

Home Alone

Although every Saturday we will be very buzy running around, I will still be looking forward to it as we will have our family quality time together. But today we had an unpleasant day.

We went to bank late morning to settle our credit card bills. We are their priority customer, so we were at a different counter at a different queue. This International Bank really dissapointed us. Their priority banking is not priority at all! The queue on the normal banking was long but it was alot faster.

Daddy received a few calls from the bank. The bank made a mistake in our credit card payment and requested us to pay for the mistake that the bank had made!! The "bank issue" is a long story. Daddy wanted to resolve this, so we drove back to the bank, which is about 25km away. It is really a waste of our time. The worst thing is, daddy was on medication and he just took his drowsy medicine an hour before we left to the bank.

By the time we settled and reached home, it was already 2.40pm. Both the kids have music classes at 4.15pm. We rested for about 20m and I realise I was cold. Daddy took my temperature and I was having fever. Daddy requested me to stay back to rest.

I was so disspointed as I was looking forward to attend Jesse's class. While all of them had fun, I had to be home alone :-(

Daddy has to drive Samuel to his music class, drops him and the maid at the music school. Then sends Jesse to her class which is about 20km away. Daddy had fun with Jesse in the class and he took alot photos and video clips to share with mummy... hehehe...

Hong Kong Trip Day 5

On the 5th Day in Hong Kong, we are still staying in the Disney Hollywood Hotel. When we got ready Samuel and Jesse, we immediately rush to Disneyland. We were amazed with such a huge crowd and queue at the entrances.

We were one of the earlier ones, so the moment we went into Disneyland, the first thing we did was to queue up to greet Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Samuel has been so excited to meet Mickey Mouse.

We went to a Winnie-the-Pooh's Hunny Pot ride and after that to Samuel's favourite ride, Teacup

We had lunch and went back to the Hotel. Samuel and Jesse had their short afternoon nap.

Mummy in Hollywood

After we packed everything, we took a taxi to Regal Hotel in Tsim Tsha Tsui (TST). We checked into the hotel and had our dinner at a nearby shop. There are lots of shops all around the hotel.

We walked across the popular flyovers of TST to the ferry terminal while heading towards the Avenue of Stars.

Samuel's Piece of Art

This is what Samuel draws from his art class today. He has been attending art class a month ago and he loves going there. Since he started the class, we see an improvement in his writing and drawing skills.

Maid - Part V

Our maid has been with us for about 1 month. There are too much to talk about her. In short, she is consider ok. Not very good and not too bad.

She is good at housework. Shes cleaner than my previous maid and she can cook. We allowed her to cook for the family because we find that she's more hygiene than the previous one.

Taking care of children? I would think the previous maid is better than her. From our observation, she prefers housework than looking after the children. She likes to nag Samuel, who is forever hyperactive. Her nagging irritates me. I can't stand the sound pollution. It is very noisy!

Since she's here, everyday especially during meal, the maid will definately nag him with her irritating tone ... (aiyehh.. cannot, weiii... tak boleh, kor kor.. "put keh yi") Her tone of voice sounded that she's frustrated with them.

I do not like to change maid especially now both the children already accepted her. I really hope she will grow to love my children. It took some time for Jesse to accept her. She used to cry everytime when she sees her walks towards her.

Having a maid can be stressful, without a maid can be stressful as well.

Expressions - Jesse

Early in the morning, when Samuel and Jesse wakes up, they usually will roll around Daddy and Mummy's bed.
Samuel will usually bring his bottle of milk, lie down and drink his milk on Daddy and Mummy's bed. After drinking his milk, Samuel usually leaves his milk bottle lying around on Daddy and Mummy's bed.
We made a pictoral impression of "Jesse in the morning". She is full of expressions. :)

Samuel's New Game

When Samuel was younger, in order for us to have a peaceful meal, we will need to bring our portable dvd player. We will need to switch on his favourite show - Barney. Barney is our life saver.... heheheh

Now that he over 3 years, we no longer bring the portable dvd when we go out for meal. But not because he is willing to sit still, it is because he found himself an interesting new game.

He likes to play with toothpicks. He will make different shapes with toothpicks. Theres few occassion he requested us to help him with circle shape *eye rolling*

Cervical Vaccine

We went to clinic today for my 2nd cervarix jab. Cervarix is indicated in females from 10 to 45 years of age for the prevention of cervical cancer by protecting against incident and persistent infection. My 1st dosage was taken about 6 weeks ago and the 3rd dosage will be taken the next 3 months. Each dosage cost us B$170.

After the jab, we went to look for food. Guess what we get....

Taa Daah....

The donut shop was new in Brunei and we used to queue for about 45m just to buy the donuts. Since from a far we noticed there wasn't any queue, we decided to get those donuts. We bought 6 pieces with 5 different flavour.

Samuel was so excited and kept asking for the donut. He can't wait to eat them. He took one while we were on the way home.

Jesse's Kindermusik

Jesse has completed her 4th Kindermusik Theme (semesters) on Saturday, 29th March 2008. The Kindermusik Themes that she has completed are :

Cock-a-doodle-Moo

DewDrops

Zoom Buggy!

Dream Pillow

When Jesse first joined Kindermusik, (23rd June 2007) she was only 5 months old. She could barely sit without support. We brought along her Bumbo chair to her first class (just incase).

Jesse's 1st Kindermusik Class

Taa-Daa! Jesse upon completion of her 4th Kindermusik Theme (4 Semesters)

We noticed that Jesse has grown to love the songs from Kindermusik. Whenever she cries, we will try to turn on her "Hello" song. Most of the time, it soothes her and she smiles when she hears the song.

One of the things that she has learnt together with Samuel is when we say "Egg shakers away" (in a certain tune), both Samuel and Jesse will keep their toy shakers. If we say "Toys away" (in the same tune), they will also keep their toys.
