Samuel has a habit. He wants to finish all the food or water that we served him. At times when I know he can't finish all the food or drink, I will ask him to stop eating or drinking. But, he wouldn't want to stop. It is either he insists that he wants to finish it or want us to finish it for him, otherwise he will cry.
There's once when we dine out, he had a bowl of soup and a big bowl of rice. He finishes all and wanted to drink his glass of water. I know he was too full to finish the glass of water and I asked him not to finish it. He then asked me to finish it for him as he was too full to do so. Sice i didn't want to dissappoint him, I told him that daddy will finish it later. (Daddy was at the wash room that time). Not long after that, the waiter came and clear the table and took the glass of water away. Almost immediately he wanted to burst into tears. He then asked, "Why he take away the water. Daddy hasn't drink." I have to lie to him. I told him that he took the water to daddy. He then held back his tears.
There was another incident that he asked me to finish his water for him but I was too full. When he was not looking, I poured away his water into another glass so that his glass looks empty. He doesn't mind if we can't finish our food or drink but he can't accept the fact that his food or water are not finished.

My son is totally opposite! Have to force him to finish his food or water! Pengsan.
Hahahaha ..... that's so funny! I can't imagine that you have to finished the big glass of water when he can't finish them :P But I do think that it's a good habit in future coz he will never waste any food or drink :)
i think that's what they are told in school. i notice Justene has this 'concept' too. lol
It's a good habit that he doesn't wanna waste food/drinks. But how come it's ok if others dun finish? hmmm...
That's good that he has a good habit to finish up all his food. I always remind Ryan to finish up his own food too.
