Sound Phobia?

Samuel was an easy baby but not an easy toddler. When he was a baby, he seldoms cry. But when he was 1+ he cries alot. He cries when :

1. See people talking/ laughing
2. Someone try to talk to him
3. Daddy talking on the phone
4. Game show / concert on tv - unless it was on mute

We suspected that he is afraid of sound. Only certain sound or voice. He is ok when children scream or laugh but not adult. He has been like this until 3yrs 4 mths. We were surprised that he did not cry in school. Even his 1st day of school. He started attending school when he was 2.

He started crying in school when he see someone speaks in the microphone. His class teacher was very concern and asked if he has any phobia on "amoh" because she noticed everytime when there's a speaker (and usually its amoh) came over for a talk, he will cry.

Because of his unusual behaviour, he misses alot. He would love to play with the children but he's too afraid to join them. We sent him to music class and sat there with him and yet he cries. Only after the class is over he started singing. He cries in church every time and we have to drag him out.

Now he is like most children. He no longer cries when he sees people talking/ laughing. Everyone is happy for us and they know how stressful we were before. But now we really thank God that he has passed through the phase.
